Childcare Apprentice Level 2 standards

Tic Toc Nursery is an independent family run business which was founded in 2002. Both Directors (Maureen Wedgewood and Claire Spencer) have an NHS background and both have worked as health visitors in Coventry.

At Tic Toc not only do we care for your child’s daily needs but we are able to provide additional support regarding health, nutrition, behaviour, sleep management, immunisations and general child development advice at any time. Parents have the opportunity of their baby being weighed on request which can be recorded in the ‘parent held record book.

The setting at Tic Toc 1 is for our younger children. This site had extensive refurbishment in 2010 which included improvements to the inside of the building and new garden facilities. All rooms have air conditioning. Tic Toc 2 is for our pre-school children and those eligible for funding, this has also undergone extensive improvement and an extended purpose built Ali-Baba play area. Both play-areas have canopy cover to protect against all weathers.

All staff work alongside parents who are recognised as the child’s primary educators and are respected and welcomed to offer any input to aid transition and development for your child whilst they are in our care. We offer many opportunities to involve parents as partners ranging from daily feedback, parents evenings, extensive ‘settling in’ sessions.
